A customer needs old 6×6 retaining wall replaced. The longest length of wall is 6′ and it stand about 4′ high. He had asked about using trex. In his townhouse development they used to edge the flower beds , but they are only 2 timbers high. I looked on the trex website but couldn’t find any info on the use of the timbers for retaing walls.
Does any one have any experience with this application? Are trex 4x6s strong enough to be used in this manner?

My experience with Trex is that it is a little "floppy" for this purpose. Have you thought of instaling wood and facing it with the Trax trim 1x ?
