   Oh boy, did you just open a can of worms. You're gonna have more answers than you want soon.

   Anyway, I like to finish an inside corner with a corner trowel. I can do both sides of the corner in 1 shot. A lot of guys use a 5" knife, and do 1 side at a time. Both work. The critical part is getting the tape bedded straight, and without kinks. The rest goes easily after that.

   The same techniques apply for all other corners, but I use Straight-Flex tape, especially on the less than 90 corners. This tape makes it easy to get a nice, straight corner.

   I've been in the trades 35yrs.

   15 of them, I did nothing but finishing.

   Suburban houses, highrise condos, offices and stores.

   Even a movie theater and, a church with 45' ceilings.

   It's always been all hand finishing around here and no texturing, except for maybe basement ceilings in cheap townhouses.

   In all this time, I have NEVER seen a REAL FINISHER use anything but a FOUR INCH KNIFE on an inside corner.

   99% of the time, all I need is 4", !0", and 12".

   sorry about taking so long getting back to you; was away for a few days.

   I've been in the trades for 30 years, and while my primary business isn't sheetrock finishing, I do a pretty good job of it. I was taught to use a curved trowel, along with a 5" ( 6"?) knife for most of my finishing. I was also taught to use a corner trowel, and, at least for me, find it quick and efficient.

   My main business focus is as a finish carpenter, and I prefer to work with wood, anyway. But I've had good painters complement me on the quality of my finish work.Maybe if I did it every day I would change my techniques, but they work for me.

   I like using no coat ultra flex lite in all my corners 90 degree or otherwise

   helps me get crisp straight corners every time
