I have a fixer upper, that I’m almost done on but do not have the time for a full sand, stain, seal job on the redoak floors (standard installation circa 1950’s). Overall they are in great shape but there are many little surfaces scratches on it. I was thinking perhaps there is a buffer I could rent just apply a fine layer of wax. But was unsure if this would just make matters worse or whether to even bother. Even doing this will take time that is precious as I have about 10 working days to get things squared up. Any suggestions? – and forget putting a carpet over them 😉
