New Construction. Wood windows with factory installed jamb extensions to “match” 2 x 6 framing.
Ok many windows are all over the map as to jambs being proud of teh drywall or visa versa. Also some windows have side jambs flush heads proud or some combination of all possibilities.
How to trim these windows. plane jambs flush, rabbit trim, fur out the back side of the trim?
How do I approach this?

I hate to say "it depends"
I hate to say "it depends" but it depends! When I have a lot of proud jambs I usually fur out the back of the trim as the easy way out. I' also used a handsaw held flat on the drywall to cut proud jambs down, hand plane, electric plane and even chisels. In some cases it's more the drywall then the wall so we fill the drywall out to the jamb. I don't think I've ever had a house where we used just one technique but usually use several.
yeah....
Pretty much what Florida said except I don't mind saying it depends because it will vary so much on the details. Some times a little drywall "modification" as well
