hi was thinking about getting one of these tru grip pros 8′ that I saw on amazon. But after reading the info and reviews, I am confused ….is it like a reqular straight edge for a cir saw or do you acutally mount the saw or what ever on the track(s). Also since it cost around 100 dollars is it worth it? Since I cant justify a table saw right now this may be the best way to go.

I have a Tru-Grip Clamp-n-Guide. It's 50". The tool does not attach to it, it is a clamp or a straight edge. If I were you I'd make a shooting board (or two 50" & 96")
For $100 you can find an old Sears 10" tablesaw. Maybe not today, but if you look around for a week you'll find one.
There've been a hell of a lot of cabinets & furniture built with those things. Older the better,
