Truck came with a Track-Rac ladder rack system. Considering putting a 72′ daimond plate hi-mount tool box on top of the bed rail. Wondering if anyone has any experiencing with this. I don’t see why you can’t mount the box right to the track, as opposed to right to the bed rail. Thanks for any feedback. Have an excellent weekend.

bri,
Trac-Rac makes an adapter for saddle boxes. You mount the adapter to your box and then the box sits right in the track. You can even slide the tool box down the track to the tailgate to work out of if you wanted too... course you'd have to take the racks off too to get it all the way back there.
Or you could skip the brackets and just figure something out. I'm sure it won't hurt anything. Can't be too hard to booger that together, right?
You have a great weekend too.
