I have a bottom that is twisted on the end. When I place my corners they will not line up. Does anyone know of a way to flatten the plate? I thought about putting a red head on the end but I’m afraid it will split. And then I though about cutting it about 2 or 3 feet away from the twist. But that will just make it worst or juist do nothing. I need to pull it down flat. I already have my studs up on the wall. And the plate is 4×6 (it is code I live in earthquake country) And I know buy straight plates. That sounds great in a perfect world. Any suggestions. Thanks Tim

I would think they would pull the plate down but allow the plate to seperate from the stud? http://www.quittintime.com
Mark,
It would pull the plate down. I am not sure how his studs are attached since I build for hurricanes instead of earthquakes. We use these for retofit applications.
