Has anyone ever heard of using typar/tyvec from Dupont as a moisture barrier under a new pine floor.The pine flooring is going to be installed over 3/4″ advanteck gold edge on the main floor and second floor.Basement is crawl space with cement floor.

How about plain old 15# felt? A lot cheaper than Typar.
Most wouldn't put anything there other than rosin paper.

First of all tyvec is NOT A MOISTURE BARRIER. It it suppose to allow mositure to go through.
But if the crawlspace was don correctly a moisture barrier is not needed.
But felt also serves as a slip plain to reduce squeaking.
