I am new (today) to this site.
I am in the process of building an addition. It will be an additional garage stall and a 20X20 heated workshop space.
We have installed Tyvek over the OSB sheething. Having read some of the comments regarding the use of Tyvek and brick veneer walls, I am questioning whether this is/was a wise choice? (walls will be insulated with kraft-faced fiberglass.
Any comments?

I have seen a moisture problem in a brick veneer house that was wrapped in tyvek. Read an article in the last FHB (i think) on details re: brick veneer walls. You might want to check that out. Interesting and some good flashing details.
*Leave suitable gap between tyvek and brick. Some open vertical joints top and bottom will provide some ventilation. Make sure any moisture which forms on inside brick surface can run down and drain clear of any timber. John
*Stan, you'll find some interesting food for thought in an article Joe Lstiburek has now posted on his website.Go to http://www.buildingscience.comhit "What's New," then scroll down to "Brick Veneers, Rain & Sun"
