We use public water and sewer and water taste is ok. But we recently tasted the tap water from a friend’s in FL and they used a big tank(sediment I think) + a few of staged filter system, their water taste is the best wr ever had our of any tap water , there is a slight sweet flavor from it. So if we want to install a under sink filter system, we dont need that big water tank for sediment I think, but just a few staged filter and we will have that sweet flavor? Any brand to recommend?

I installed an Aquasana 3 stage filter under my sink 3 years ago. It’s worked fine.
I doubt if the tank is for sediment. Public water systems are pretty well filtered. Any reputable brand of under the sink RO system should be fine.
