Hey all,
We just installed a 1″ type K copper line from the well head to the barn we are finishing. It has one coupling in it due to the length of line we had to run. I would like to pressure test it with air if possible. Can anyone give me the pressure I should charge it with to test for any leaks. Or any other tips on this.
Thanks

I had to run 650 feet of 1 1/4" copper. I tested each section before I connected the next section of pipe so it would be easier to isolate leaks.
I made an adaptor that fit the end of the water line, with a pressure gauge, ball valve , and fitting to attach to my compressor. I pressurized the line to about 120# and closed the valve. If the pressure held for a few hours without dropping I had no leaks.
Should be good for several hundred PSI, but I'm sure something like 60 PSI is more than good enough.
