I’m looking to do a little revamp of our bathroom, but we have a log home and I’m not sure how to go about removing a window and turning the space into wall. Or framing it in to a much smaller window, without it looking awful on the exterior. I know I can’t seam log into that empty space. I thought possibly stoning it into the smaller opening and doing something more attractive/ decorative on the outside, but have no real clue where to start. In my area, there are plenty of “log home” companies, but they’re salesmen of the kits and no one with actual building knowledge to help me – I’ve asked. Any thoughts or sites you can steer me toward?

You can fill the window gap with logs fairly easily. It would require notching the ends of the logs next to the windows and patching in new similar sized pieces of new logs. Ask around at local suppliers and eventually, you'll find a log carpenter.
