Update on "Should I pay"

This is a follow up to a previous thread.

This one worked out well for me! I followed my initial gut which was to patch and paint the jams and see how it looked. It looked great and the clients said fine. They wrote my final checked and everyone walked away happy. I think I would have painted the room if that’s what it took but they turned out to reasonable after all. Thanks for the great advice and spirited discussion in my initial post.

            *An aquaintence of mine who for what ever reason seems to piss of every contractor who works for him asks me to help him write a letter demanding some rework to be done and to have the contractor respond immediately to let him know when and want a 30 window to get it done. I told him pretty much the same thing that was said here. that is be nice and talk to the guy. Give him the benefit of the doubt before going off threatening ect. I hope he does(not that i really care but I dont like hearing his whineing). Thats the same guy who wants me to do everything for free while he pays everyone else...But like I told him be nice. I am to him eventually he'll break loose. (theres no more freebies anymore however)Second thought after reading this I dont want to work for this guy cuz he'll be whineing to me like he does about every guy who works for him....

            *Toledo is called the glass city because Edward Drummond Libby teamed up with Owens and Ford at the turn of the century to create LOF. LOF was bought up by Plinklington Glass out of Britan several years ago. Actually, Rossford, Ohio, a Toledo suburb, is the real "Glass City". I lived in the area for 45 years.
