Few weeks ago I wrote a post on BT, very concerned about whether my 4ply CDX plywood would be able to endure a prolonged rainy period of 4 or 5 days. In my situation we sheeted the roof in full without papering. Later that night and the next 4 or 5 days it rained and rained.
FYI on how it all turned out. After a good drying out all is fine. Some of the swelling and bubbling I had went fully or partially away. I had very minor delamination, and wound up just letting them go without replacing. Roof deck seems solid, been walking on it, and it’s now covered with Titanium 30 roof underlayment. It’ll be shingled in about 2 more weeks.

Should have been 5-ply. Plywood always has an odd number of plys.
There shouldn't have been any delamination or bubbling with CDX. The glue is supposed to be exterior rated.
It was 4 ply CDX. the delamination was insignificant. It was suggested I got a lower quality of CDX. I suspect bubbling was due to swelling. Theyr'e virtually non existent today. If at first you don't succeed, try using a hammer next time...everything needs some extra persuasion from time to time. -ME
