Using old oil furnace chimney for ERV exhaust
Hi all, I’m installing an ERV in the next little while and I’m thinking of using an old oil furnace (no longer existing – the chimney is capped on the inside) chimney for the exhaust duct. I wouldn’t use it as an intake since it’s right beside a wood fire chimney that is occasionally used. The intake will go to a wall where I predict has the best air quality.
Any issues with this idea? Would condensation building on the liner be an issue?
