Hi all,

I am planning to parge the interior walls of my older poured concrete foundation walls.  There is a perimeter drain in the basement. 

I’m planning to use S Type Mortar with an admix.  I looked at b-bond and surface cements but they cost about $30/ 50lb bag vs $8 / 80lb bag of s type mortar.

Should I apply a cement based waterproof as part of the parge project? 

If so should I put it on the foundation wall and then parge?  Or parge and then apply a cement based waterproofing?

I’m likely going to use Rapidset waterproofing mortar.  Thoroseal and similar products aren’t sold near me.
