I’m looking for some caged incandescent lights for a basement with very low headroom, similar to the attached image. Breakage from a simple socket with exposed lamps is getting old.
I know Stonco makes these and that they run about $70-$80. I’m looking for something similar, doesn’t have to be vapor tight but cheap is the secondary factor here. This is for utility space only. Haven’t had much luck yet. Anyone have any sources?

I can get them to you for $25 each, plus shipping. How many do you want?

They also have a flourscent version.

.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
Teksupply, that's awesome! That's a huge step in the right direction, still a bit more than my random mental guestimate was. I like how you can order either the glass or cage or both. I'm really only interested in the cage as accidental bumping is the biggest problem.
These may be more expensive than you prefer, but I installed them in my crawlspace, attic, and pumphouse. They're impact resistant, seal tight, and provide sufficient lighting for my needs.

New knowledge is priceless.
Used knowledge is even more valuable.
Yeah, that's a bit more than I'd like to spend, but that's a great price for a bulkhead light. Good to know it comes in different colors, too.
Any restaurant supply in your area would also have them - usually at reasonable prices and sold as separate components.

I got a plastic cage from HD that clamps around a standard porcelain socket. Probably less than 3 bucks and no need to change the fixture.

MarkH and Catspaw - thanks. Not quite the awesome cast aluminum industrial look, but the price is right. I wonder just how subjective 'temporary' is...
Tek, I bought 6 of those at HD last year for a green house.
They were less than $25 each.
They were hidden in the electrical section instead of with the lighting, hard to find.

Thanks Joe. I dug around the depot last night, found them in electrical like you said, but they were $35 each. Better, but not quite there.
Might have a weener here....looks like this, at the HD for $3.97 and it comes with a 100w lamp. Unfortunately it will probably be the nicest thing in that basement.

Thanks to everyone for their help. I'll save the nice vapor lights for the nice new shed (whenever I get around to that).
I have (4) of those in white above my shower, up in the skylight shaft.

Hey tek.
I'd be inclined to go with an open cage if you're using CF bulbs. I've had problems with fixtures like these retaining heat which greatly shortens bulb life.
