Just curious as to what people are offering in terms of vacation policy for their employees.
Do you have a vacation policy?
What is it for your full time field guys?
Thanks

One week paid, after one year of service. Two, after two years and up.
I need a certain amount of notice, for longer times off. If a guy just needs a day or two, I have them take it as needed.
With a couple of guys, I let them take some time, before the first year was up. They were well worth the flexibility.
Paid vactions, in this industry, atleast here, are unheard of. That, along with better pay is what sets my company apart from the pack.
Happy employees are usually productive ones.
Also, if one of my employees has a child, with a school program, etc, during the day, I want them to go to it. Life is too short to miss those types of things. The work will still be there tommorrow.

If the customers have a problem, with my policies, they aren't who I want to work with.
Nearest I come to a vacation policy is that if were not working, you're on vacation.
1 day for each month work till dec 31
jan 1, two weeks
after ten years, three weeks
But if your job working you have to work
two floating holiday for everybody
5 sick day.
none can be carried over
If I remember correctly it is a federal Labour Law(Canada) that everyone gets 2 weeks vacation then at 5 years you get 3 weeks vacation. Not sure what happens after that.roger
1 week after the first year. 2 weeks after 5.
We pay 3 days sick leave per year after the first year.
We also take 6 paid holiday and close the week of Christmas to New years. If you have vacation, great, if not and you want to work I will let you do some shop work if we have it.
Thats the whole package. DanT

What is a vacation? LOL

One week after a year, two weeks after three years, three weeks after 7 years. 6 paid holidays a year and usually shut down the week between Christmas and New Years.
And that aint enough time off!
