Does anyone have any feedback on Mail Order Cabinets (See article in Dec 2003 FHB Kitchens & Baths issue). Any good or bad experiences? Resources (West Coast)? Evaluation of pricing and quality in comparison to mid-grade custom and Home Depot/Ikea cabinets?
Considering this for client kitchen, upper-mid range, painted doors.
Thanks for any feedback

My apologizies if I offended you. Apparently Isamemon thinks I may have. Your original post indicate4d that you're in California, and you're in the design field. Architects & designers get beat up a bit here, mostly undeserved, because they tend to design things that can't be built, or can't be built for the budget the client has in mind, and other reasons you have probably heard in the past. But it's all in fun, unless you admit to having executed a great foo paw, in which case we will all point fingers at you. But just the fact that you are here is points in your favor. Heck, we might even learn sumptin from ya.

my husband is an architect and a builder, in an effort to design buildings that can be built, and build projects that have been nicely designed.
we're trying
its funny, because online you can't see if someone looks like a neanderthal...
i guess i didn't notice :-)
You won't regret doing the job with Scherr's. But you had better get in line. Their lead time is presently pretty long.
But, they can probably get the cab boxes to you sooner than the fronts. That's all you need, anyway, to get moving.
In a real rush? We have done cab boxes from Cab Parts, and then the fronts from Scherr's. That can save a little time, because Cab Parts has a quick production cycle.
Used both Sheers and Cab parts. Good stuff and good service...
