GMC 3500, 350 V8. $2500 in Pittsburgh, PA.
It’s got a ridiculous amount of miles, but it’s been very well maintained. I just spent $900 on it in November for inspection. New tires, and brakes.
Some rust spots, typical of a 12 year old vehicle in the Northeast rust belt.
I just don’t need it anymore.

What would you do before say a planned trip to KY? I mean, what does it shout out that it wants.?
I am really looking at this. I'd say you are a lot closer than my kid in PA ( Allentown area) and I desparetly need a newer van. I am headed that way soon to get her down here for the summer.
Miles? A/c?
seriously, I want it.
Parolee # 40835
295,000 miles on the body. I had the tranny rebuilt last summer, about 5-6,000 miles ago.
It has A/C, but it has never really blown cold air. I never did anything to fix it.
I'll get some more pictures of it ASAP.

Doesn't leak anything, or burn oil.
I'd drive it anywhere with the confidence that it would make it.
The only flaws that i can think of:
1: the ABS light is on all the time. It's been like that since the day I bought it
2: The windshield leaks if you park facing down hill in the rain.
3: The driver side window crank is real sticky. Never really tried to fix it. Probably just needs lubed up.
4: One of the hinges is broken on the smaller side door. It just needs welded back together.
I'll try to think of some other stuff.Glamorous
That ABS is a vacuume controller selonoid ,,,they actually bark like a dog when they finally eat the sheets. Dale's Suburban does it on start up and left turns...no problem, but that false positive light can really mess ya up IF the ABS cuts-out and you are exiting at 70 mph to a 35 MPH ramp.
If ya can't reach into the cowling to cover the light w/ ele'tape...I just drill a hole through it, bulb and all.
Windshield just needs goop..I got that.
I'll put power windows in, and remote start, and keyless entry...maybe 400.oo tops
I have a MIG, and can weld most stuff...those hinges are swaged in, and SUCK.., you have to drill out the pins, with out the bit wandering..I tore up 6 bits doing that..they are hard steel...no kidding, they suck.
I am looking forward to this, gut feeling and all that...My currant GMC was that way...Saw it on a lot on a sunday afternoon..while driving my 85' GMC Safari..lot closed, made a note to self to call them in the Morning...I loved that All-wheel drive option.
Well, we got 100 yrds from our house that day and "wooumpfh" the 85 blew a head gasket...I said thats enough, that suckker leaked like the Exxon Valdez anyway...so I contacted my customer and got an advance of 3K to buy my Blue box the very next day...that was 150K miles ago.
I can send ya 700.00 tomorrow to hold it? OK?Parolee # 40835
I'll hold it on your word.
I'll post the pics of everything tomorrow, and we can go from there.
Honestly, I wouldn't sell it to you if I thought there was something seriously wrong with it.
Not sure were exactly you are in Kentucky, but Cincinnati OH is about 5 hours from here.Glamorous
Dude..I am about 2 hours south of Cinncity natty...Like I said, lemme get my kid, but school is over on 6/8 and I gotta get all this stuff done in one trip, Mom ain't doing well, this'll be my last trip home for her I am afraid.
I'll rent a ride to get there, and stop by you on the return trip, pile the daughter and dog in the van, wife will drive the rental car home.
Can ya wait till after 6/8th?Parolee # 40835
Yeah, no hurry.
Just keep me updated.Glamorous
Did you guys see the Seinfeld episode where Jerry bought a Van?At the end of the episode they caught Mr. and Mrs. Castanza rocking the van in the back on the couch or mattress of whatever it was.Pretty funny.^^^^^^
a Smith & Wesson beats four Aces
I'll be headed BACK to here , after the 8th...can't get my kid on the fone tonite to dial it in...gimme a target around Pittsburgh ( yes, I am a Yankee, and use the "H") are you up, down, or sideways? From the rivers park?
Looks like I am coming on the Tpike or 80 if we want a pretty ride and time is not a factor...
I hate the Tpike...sleep tendancy. booooooring. and What? 11 bucks from Jersy to OH?
I'm jazzed..wanna leave now.Parolee # 40835
I'm 5 minutes from exit 57 of the Turnpike.
80 is not real close. You would have to back track a bit to get here from 80 easily, or take smaller back roads.Glamorous
Hey, my wife just looked at it too.
When can I come get it? maybe 2 weeks? or so?
We got a good feeling about this ( together), I'll be coming out 64 and hang a left at WVA/Maryland line...
email me at Spheramid At Dishmail.net my aol is no longer alive (yippee!). I will get hooked with ya.

I think you're thinking about "the good ole days" when we had vans with a mattress in the back ?^^^^^^
a Smith & Wesson beats four Aces
Been there..I had my first van given to me from my dad. A '65 Ford Falcon window van..240 6cyl. btween the front seats, C4 auto tranny....many a fond memory of that van...I wrecked it in '77 when a chick in a VW bug ran a light in my path. I T-boned her, and tore the Bug in two, I also went through the windshield.
Thank God I didn't have my seat belt on, the steering wheel was embedded in the drivers seat about 10''. I landed in a roll, and got hit by my door as it cartwheeled down the hiway, and knocked me back down. 6 broken ribs, fractured elbow, and almost 4 oz. of glass and gravel taken outta my back, upper shoulder area. I still leak asphault once in awhile from the elbow.Parolee # 40835

I'm on it like a duck on a June bug. I know what I need, and that is it. shhhh..don't tell him..I need to dickker the price down..LOLParolee # 40835
Amen to that.Remodeling contractor who once visited the Glass City.
Hey Dustin,
I think I'll head over your way, NEXT WEEKEND..I guess either Fri the 8th, or SAT. the 9th.
I figgure if I skip going all the way to Philly area for now, I can get the van sooner. We ( wife and dog) can get an early start and she'll not want to roundtrip it without a stop over at a motel somewhere on the way home..but its doable sooner this way.
MY new email is SPHERAMID at dishmail dot net. I'll need directions or a physical addy to mapquest. I "think" all I'll need from you is a signed title, and a bill of sale for registering it here in KY, I'll have the wife call KDMV for certain, this week.
Sound good to you?
Thanks, Duane.
Parolee # 40835
Sounds real good to me.
I have the title in hand, and I can write a bill of sale.
I'll go over the van tomorrow, and make sure everything is running good. I'll get some more pics for you then also.
Either day works for me, I can be available on short notice.
Email is on the way with address, and directions.Glamorous
The deed is done. Well, not a deed, but the title is in my grubby hands. Just pulled in the homestead after a 420 mile jaunt.
Dustin, you da man! The van is great. The price break was great, the weather and travelling conditions was great.
I'll have a few pics later after nap. We hit the road way early up in W.Va. And peddle to the metal all the way home wore me out. He forgot to tell me it REALLY needs shocks, LOL. I am still porposing up and down from the trip. Gotta get my land legs back. LOL

No, it's a mess. LOL
I have been doing 4 different things at once it seems, so one day I am thowing in window sash, the next day ceement siding tools, and the next day dump run ( my trash PU guy went AWOL)..so when I get it looking presentable, maybe.
It is pretty full tho', just as I thought it would be.
You didn't think he'd pull trigger on that van, did you?
Nope. He fooled me again Josie. :)

once you get your tools in there you won't need shocks.
If you're anything like me, you'll have enough weight in tools to dampen any bounce.
Kinda what I am thinkin. I just tossed in what I need for tomorrow, till I get my ideal shelves and such...and then I still had room just on the floor. So I about emptied Lil Blue totally.
This will be fun."you are dead a lot longer than you are alive"Noah Aaron MacKenzie, 1990.
I re-arrange my van practically on a weekly basis
Eventually I'll get everything where I want it.
Or I'll end up with a bigger truck <G>
