I have a Vanguard PEX manablock manifold system in my home. It is about six years old now. I have sheared off the key knob of two of the valves. I was wondering if it is possible to replace the manablock with Wisbro’s Pro Pex system. Use the PEX already run and just use the ProPex Rings and tool to make the connection to a ProPEX copper manifold?

Greetings loby,
As a first time poster Welcome to Breaktime.

Beware. RFID is coming.
Is there some reason you wouldn't just use another manablock?
The zurn manifold they sell at Lowes would match up to your pex. I think Wirsbo is proprietary.
just afraid that the manablock will just continue to cause me problems.
This is just a guess, but I think that ASTM standards govern PEX sizing now, and that any of the system will match up to any other system with crimp rings or crimp connectors. Wirsbo (now Uponor) crimp fittings look just like some of the other products from other manufacturers.
Might be worth an e-mail to Uponor and find out if you can retrofit their manifold to Vanguard tubing.
All PEX is made in ASTM standard copper tube sizes. Andy

I've noticed the fittings for Questpex, sold at a local retail hardware store, are identical to Wirsbo's 'cept one reads "QPex" and one "Wpex" or whatever.
The bag will say "Only for ________Pex systems" but functionally these two look identical and in my experience so far (dry since put in a few months ago!) crimp the same with the same tool.

Should work.
If in doubt Sharkbite¯ fittings will transition copper to pex --- copper to cpvc------ pex to cpvc---- pex to pex ----- copper to --- uh well you get the idea.
