I plan to replaster a room in my house using traditional 3-coat plaster. I will be pulling down the old plaster and most of the wooden lath. The wall cavity contains loose fiberglass insulation I had blown in previously. Should I add a vapor barrior underneath the diamond metal lath I plan to use? If so, would 6 mil plastic be a good candidate?

Tom. It's an excellent idea. I always use a 4mil vapor barrier on all of my work. If your going to us insulation with a vapor barrier attached take a utility knife and cut (slit) the barrier so that no moisture can get trapped between. I'm sure that 4mill will be fine but if you have 6 mill at hand, use it.
