I recently read Rick Arnolds article in 09/06 FHB re: Rigid Foam Insulation. In the article he advises what rigid product is considered a vapor barrier. I’m residing my house with vinyl siding and would like to use rigid foam. I’d like to use foil faced ISO panels, but I have kraft faced fiberglass on the interior walls. Would the kraft paper be effective enough to prohibit the use of the ISO panels? The house is sixty years old and is rough sided with tongue and grove boards.

Someone needs to write an authoritative article on vapor barriers. The problem is NOT with having multiple vapor barriers. The problem is with having the most effective vapor barrier at a point in the wall where the temperature is apt to dip below the dewpoint of the "warm side" air (whether that be inside air or outside air).
