I am installing bat insulation between the joists of my atic while I have the knee wall open. Yes, I’m blocking off the area under to floor with solid blocking and foam.
With the first set of bats (R28) snugged in, what is the collective wisdom of placing a 6mm plastic vapour barrier over it, and lay the balance of the R14 cross-ways over the bats?
My aim is to have R40 over my bedroom area, and R28 in the walls of the bedroom which is now opened up.
