Have a friend that has been running veggie oil in his car for a few years & he’s been after me to do a conversion on my 07 Mitisubishi box truck. As diesel is rising I’m thinking about going forward. Just wondering if anyone else has done so & if so what experiences both good & bad

How far do you drive the truck one way?
You have to start on dino-diesel, then when the veggie is warm switch over and switch back far enough from the final stop to purge the lines of veggie.
Two ways to do it. One is to start on regular diesel, as stated, then switch to veggie once the engine warms up. Sometimes a heater is added to warm the veggie oil before it enters the engine.
The other technique is to process the veggie into what is essentially real diesel by adding alcohol and lye and letting it "cook" a bit.
