look up the article (photo essay ) on metal roofing in FHB last year (maybe it was jlc .. anyways .. 1 a dose)..
all roof pentrations in metal roof get treated basically the same...
vent pipes need a boot...
*Johnnie: HD has a great boot for steel roofs. I installed one last year on a steel roof. they are butyl rubber and have a malleable aluminum ring at the base that can be made to conform to the ridges in your roof. You put a generous glob of mastic under the ring and screw it to the roof. Grips the stack like glue and doesn't leak. I am assuming that the slope on your roof is not too great. It costs about $40. It is in their catalogue of accessories for steel roofs.Don
