I am going to be framing two small shed roofs; I plan to have continuous venting at the soffit and notching where the rafters meet the wall for good airflow. I thought a ridge vent was available for that exact application, but I have not been able to find the product. If you know of the product or have any suggestions for a better venting system I would appreciate the information.
Thanks,
ogee

The detail I like is to have a soffit under both the high and low sides, and to use continuous soffit vent under both. The low side has the vent up near the wall, but the high side is at the end of the rafters--where's it less likely to suck up any flying rain.
Otherwise, you need to reverse the slope on the high side to create a ridge. Then you can have a standard ridge vent. (Makes for a fairly clean joint over the higher exterior wall, too; framing and finish both.)
Coravent makes a product for venting shed roofs into wall abutments.

I seem to remember FHB doing something on this. Check your back issues.
