I have a customer that I am doing a remodel of a basement for and they have asked me to repair an outside vinyl corner. It has a hole in it from a car bump.
I am not big fan of the product but understand its place in our industry, and have installed it many times but have never had to replace a corner.
Do I have to take back all the siding to the next lap or is there a way to remove the nails and replace the corner without doing all of that?
Thank you

If only the corner is damaged, you may want to consider capping it with another, instead.
Cut of the portion that fits under the vinyl siding along the length, and then glue it on.
*Take a new corner and score off the nail fin and all but about a 1/2" of the j channel return. Score the existing corner right at the corner bend. fold the old corner in and wrp the new corner around the old. put a couple of concealed screws inside the j channel pocket and nobody will ever see the difference
