Vinyl siding detail at projected angled wall
So I am going back to vinyl siding on this single family house due to cost reasons. I have this projected angled wall shown in attached image and would like to know if this siding detail works well. Because of angle, some water might go behind siding, but there is tyvek behind so it will dry out. Is this fine or do you recommend a different WRB for this. And is there a better way to finish that corner of wall? I just put 2 standard corner trims and siding in between.
2nd question is about the metal coping to top of that wall. I have usually not seen that over vinyl siding but is there any better way than this? And can anyone suggest for a detail where the metal coping meets the vinyl corner post trims at the top left corner?
Appreciate all your help.

I would think your outside corner trim would collect rain all the way down.
How much? If more than the channel could direct I’d expect it to overflow into the back of the siding and go down till it could exit. Add airborne gunk….
Thank you Calvin. The bottom of the corner siding post would be open for any water to pass through.
You miss my point.
The corner will collect water from the surface of the siding. Sure it’ll exit at the bottom…..
All of it?
Some should be able to run back into the trough of the siding.
Or maybe not.
Got it. Thank you Calvin. May be it would be better to install siding at a slope of 1/8" per foot towards the angular wall, so if excess water goes in, it would exit out eventually and wouldn't stay there forever. Does anyone have any other ideas suggestions?
I don’t know the answer.
I just wanted you to know my concern over what you proposed.
The angle of the J channel with the right rain direction might “collect” water at each siding coarse and duct it into the siding channel. How much by the time it gets to the bottom where it could drain out……beats me.
But whatever you decide to do, please come back and post your findings and where the water ended up. That way, if you are right with your design or not……someone else can learn from it.
Thanks.
No problem Calvin.
Now I am thinking to do zip sheathing panel with rolled tape instead of putting standard tyvek on sheathing. It would be a better WRB I guess in case more water seeps behind siding.
