Wagner Spray Painter for home; Control Spray Max

Bought one for around the house then used it on a wall. Barely 8 inch across pattern, paint was thinned, max air and max trigger. Are there different tips that can be bought with wider pattern?
Or, any advice that I’m doing something wrong or need to thin more?

Is that an HVLP unit?
HVLP is not made for painting walls with Latex. Its used for trim, furniture etc. Get an airless spray painter for doing drywall or use a roller like everyone else.
