I am getting ready to frame a 30’ x 40’ studio in a cold climate, N/W MT. The foundation walls are ICF that when done were several inches out of square and I used 2 x 8 sill plates to square everything up. The outbuilding is going to be a hot yoga studio finished with cedar lap siding, topped off with full span trusses. I would like to frame on 2’ centers using 2 x 6 with rigid foam insulation on the exterior. I was curious about the snow load on the trusses and walls? Are 2 x 6s enough to support the trusses and snow load? Do I need a vapor barrier/retarder? Type of wall cavity insulation to use? Suggestions? Where can I find information?
Thanks in advance, Brad.
