Im thinking of getting a pair of wall jacks.  What do you people recommend, and where can I get them?  Toolcrib has some by Qualcraft, but it seems to be just the jack part.

I remember using some ~10 years ago that had a metal pole with a hinge plate.  You could nail the hinge plate to the floor.  The jack part was moved up the pole by a cable that was attached to a ratchet ( kind of like a come-along mounted to the pole).  This sound familiar?

Anyone experimented with making their own?  Was thinking of trying to mount a heavy duty tie down strap to a double 2×4 pole.
