I have an exposed wall stack with no supports. Looking at the Lowes website there appears to be supporting straps on the wall stack.
The most important questions are:
1) Do you know what the spacing is recommended for support or these kind of straps?
2) What these straps are called? Can I buy these at Lowes or other big box hardware stores?
Less important question:
Do the zip screws simply crush into the back of the drywall? seems like they stick out a little bit.

If by Zip screws you're referring to the 2 sheet metal screws attaching the strap to the duct, chances are the drywall will simply push them into the duct deforming it slightly.
For the spacing, it's typically around 6 feet apart for support straps. They're often called duct support straps or hanger straps, and you can definitely find them at Lowes or other hardware stores.
As for the zip screws, they should go through the drywall and into a stud or the framing behind it, not just into the drywall. If they're sticking out, you might need shorter screws or to adjust how you're installing them.
If you're looking to support an exposed wall stack, those supporting straps you saw on Lowe's website might do the trick. The spacing for support and the specific name of these straps can vary, so it's best to check with a store associate at Lowe's or another big hardware store. As for the zip screws, they shouldn't stick out too much if they're properly installed. They're designed to secure things to the drywall without causing much damage.
