Just got a DeWalt 621 router.
Would like to find a case.
Anyone got one collecting dust in the shop?

You really need a case that does double duty. That is, not just to hold the router, but to hold all the bits and the guides that make up a complete system. Pain in the keister to have to carry out two boxes for one function.
Get a generic plastic toolbox deep enough to hold the router in the bottom and convert the tray (or the lid) into a socketed tray/holder for the parts that go round and round.
This is exactly why I usually throw the casses away! :o)~ WebTrooper ~

I already have a catch-all case for my old router ...
want a factory job for the new(er) one.
my tools spent their off time riding around in the van ... I've found the factory cases to work best ... especially the plastic ones.

the factory cases never end up having enough space for bits, accessories, etc. i've become a big fan of rubbermaid tubs.

The best I can offer is to keep an eye out on Ebay, because people sell the cases all the time.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Haven't been around as much as I used to be.

The case for DW621 plunge router is part # 578772-03. They had it listed for $33.90, don't know shipping terms. IIRC you have to register your email (free) and login.
EDIT: I realize that's a lot to pay for just a case, but if you're desperate...
If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

Jeff,
I get inexpensive small "duffle" bags to carry all my tools, like the Makita tool bags. I went to a sewing store and got so foam to put in the bottom of all the bags so they can take all those bounces while riding in the trailer without losening up any screws. I get the bags from sporting good stores and wal-mart. It has worked quite well for the last three years.
