   I have single axle 6x12 that I'm looking to replace. Where you at, what are you looking to spend.

   Things I think I know about trailers:

   Lotsa difference for quality. Theres a place in Tx (sun in the name?) makes em beefy. I think H&H makes a good cargo trailer too. Some of the stuff that sits in front of Menards is half the price, but you can already see the ribs through the skin, and they haven't even sold yet!.

   Tandem carries more, rides smoother, turns wider.

   Bulldog couplers are the cats friggin meow.

   Get brakes, the controller for the truck shouldn't hit you for more than a bill, bill and a quarter installed.

   You can get a 16' 8'wide H&H tandem 7000 GVW, 2" ball, ramp and ped door, LED lights, DOT ready, for $4400 here. Maybe $4600 with the ramp. That adds about $200.

   Thinking small like 10 to 12 ft for tools only.

   I have a 12 by 7 foot carson dual axle with 7000# rating. It cost me 3400.00 out the door with brakes. The walls and roof and staggered with 1 by 1 and 1 by 2 steel with melemine osb and with siding on the outside. The roof is flat so I put a rack on it and a side ladder and its plenty strong enough to walk on. I would not go smaller but you could i suppose ( i carry alot of nail in 50lb boxes for al my gun and all types of jobs.
