Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

C'mon somebody gotta have some old floor tools.

Ditch,
There is a place in Hulls Cove, Maine just north of Bar Harbor, called The Tool Barn.
Loads of antique tools.
Every time I have been there I have seen an old Floor plane.
It is a massively heavy plane, boat-shaped, about 10" long and 2-1/2" to 3" wide.
It has a cherry pole handle with two "ells" towards the top.
All I can think of is that the guy who used it must have had arms like a freakin telephone pole!!!
I recall that he wants 450$ for it.
It would make a nifty souvenir for a floor guy.

T,
Thanks, I'll find 'em. I'm opening a showroom this winter and want to fill it with old hardwood floor mechanics and finishing tools.Ditch
