I mentioned in another thread about some punky T-111 siding at the bottom. Started to remove the brick mold around the window and found that there was a bad area and no easy way to patch.
So I recommended replace the 3 1/2 panels on that side.
Way more than I can do.
So I am looking for a GOOD siding company to make this repair.

Can't help you with the siding, but as long as we're trolling for KC area help, I need a good foundation settlement repair and waterproofer who can work with 100 year old stone foundations.
Can't think of anybody offhand but I'll bet if you look up the neighborhood associations for Waldo or Brookside they'll steer you in the right direction. Be sure you mention that you hate dog parks and you'll fit right in.
Where's the house?
Ask me in a month or two if I have not responded.A friend is getting ready to have some foundation work done. But it is much different than your problem. The foundation has a horinzontal crack about 4ft down. The wall bows almost 8".In the past they the owners put in a sump and internal drain system. But never fixed the real problem. Exterior drainage.Had the backyard regraded. Gutters drained to daylight, raised the window wells, mud jacked up the patio that was slopping towards the house and put down plastic under the first 3 ft against the house all to keep water away.In the time that she has been their the only time that the sump ran was when I put a hose it in to see that it worked. And before she closed the foundation had to "fixed" and the sellers wheren't paying. so she had to pay to get the foundation worked on even before she owned the house.3 vertical beams where installed blocked at the top againts the joist and concrete at the bottom. And the cracks where filled on the surface with an epoxy. It was fine until this year where it has started to move a little more. One company said that with the rain we have had this year that there has been extra ground pressure and that the beams that they used where not strong enough..

Ah Bordner... They'll do it, no doubt. And you'll PAY, no doubt. They bid a tiny bit of roofing work I needed done and they were over twice what my other two bids were. Customer service was great, though...The problem with most foundation folks around here, it seems to me, is that they work mostly on concrete foundations and stone is a whole different beast, if I understand correctly. I don't "think" the work I need done is too severe, I have a bit of water seeping in towards the bottom of one of my walls that is washing out the mortar and washing dirt in and then I have some pretty dramatic settling at a corner of the front porch that may or may not be responsible for this... Foundation contractors that are geared to sell pins and interior trench drains and steel reinforcements and other "high-tech" solutions are not going to be able to help me, I don't think...
For this client I am not concerned with the price. But I want to make sure that it is done RIGHT.However, the client might be concerned when he get the estimate. But I doubt it..

Hey Bill I'm in the KC area and I'd be happy to take care of it if its still available. I'm doing a full house remodel in red bridge right now but it sounds like something I can do in a day with my helper or with you. I have a full scale remodeling company(small) but I do about half exterior work(wood rot, siding) and half everything else. If your interested call me at 816-510-2411. Also, maybe you could check out my current project for kicks. It would be nice to meet a fellow BT'er.
Going to be way small for any siding company to come out if you ask me. I can think of several handypersons (got to call them the politically correct term these days) but I need to dig up the names. Let me know if you want them.
How about that company Stan Carmack, the old Call for Action, guy advertises for now, Miracle Siding, that's who you need.
I called Bordner and who ever answered the phone thought that they would do it. But that they would only do it in Hardi, which is fine, it it will match up with the rest.I am a little too old and not strong enough to handle sheets by self. And while it is easly accessable on ground "deck" level some trim has to be remove that runs about 20 ft plus up.And I need someone that will do it RIGHT. While the HO has been running a sprinkler on it and that is why some rot is starting at the bottom I think that the problem with the brick mold and T-111 against the window has been a long time problem. There was paint over caulk in that area. It is possible that corner was cut wild at the time. And with an installation like this the caulk between the wind and the side is the only thing that seals that area..

Was just thinking. CAG was looking for some barn siding last year and has bitched about T-111 in the past mebbe he'll do it for the cost of gas?
