I am moving a laundry area from my garage to an second floor location and wil have a local sheetmetal mechnic bend a drain pan
I need advice on what galvanized sheet metal thickness the drain pan should be: 20ga, or something thicker. I am going to lay the pan over a layer of neoprene sound insulation so the pan needs to be strong enough that the machine pads don’t dent the GSM.
I have not found a commercially made drain that meets my needs.

20-24 should be plenty trhick
Thanks Piffin
If the $ delta isn't too much I'll go with the 20 ga.
20
probably almost no cost difference.
You going to run a drain line through the floor to the outside? Through the side of the pan? Just curious...
washing machine drain pan
Camco 20752 30" $21.67 or Oatey scs 34051 $24.99
Made for this application
cheaper than Galvanize sheet metal and has the male adapter to run to an external drain if there is a leak
