I just installed a front-loading washer which vibrates like crazy when it’s on the spin cycle. It is on a level surface of 3/4″ plywood; the legs have been leveled and all four are in contact with the floor. I’d like to get some suggestions on vibration-dampening products if anyone can help. Thanks so much.

If you've done the installation correctly, then it's time to call for service.
I'm assuming the machine is new and under warranty. Other than a big wad a gum on the drum put there by an assembler, it could be anything out of true..........and have nothing to do with your installation.
Good luck
Until it gets fix, I hope you and a friend can exploit that defect. (sorry, couldn't resist!)
Diane,
Some of these front loads have shipping bolts for the counter weights that have to be removed. Read the manual.

When they delivered our front loader, the delivery guys took out the packing and several bolts - all mentioned in the written instructions and in the video that comes with the machine. You can barely hear this thing running even when you're in the room with it.
HOWEVER, my wife did overload it the first day and set it on "fast" spin - the only other time it rattled was when I did one heavy item by itself.

This thread remins me of one of Oprah's shows I caught one day. She had a couple of minutes at the close of the show, and started asking audience members what the most unusual place was where they had fooled around.
One of the audience members said: "On the washing machine during spin cycle"

may sound silly but run a load w/o anything in the washer and see if it shakes/vibrates. If it doesnt its the stuff in the washer that is throwing it out of sync/off balance.
We just got some new Whirlpoot Duet HTs and they are awesome devices but on extra high spin it does vibrate more often. If your washer has manula select a lower spin and set it a bit longer.
Diane, check out this thread on vibrating FLs.
Edit: Forgot to add that that you should ask about your specific model there- I think the topic has also been covered for permanent FL installations, but they have no archives at that forum.

I don't klnow about fronts loaders but all the others now have a shipping tie that you remove from the back when installing. Usually a plastic plug with a tag that says in big bold letters, "Remove this first"
When you don't, it vibrates like crazy and creates embarrassing moments with repairmen who ask if you read the instructions. Most common complaint in new installs.
The floor is 3/4" plywood over..................???? what size of joist?..........What span?
In the past I have installed washers/dryers in utility rooms that the size of joist and the spans constituted a "drum head" which vibrated under load and thus a "callback" service problem. Even had some that "walked" across the room until the hose or cord shut them down.
