I noticed water on the carpet in the basement near the last window (picture attached). I am wondering if this had to do with anything with all the rain we got last few days. There is a concrete slab (picture attached) right outside this and wondering if this had anything to do with it. Any idea whats going on or who I should call? I am geting my gutters cleaned tomorrow which has gutter guards. Thank you!

You have a deck above, how is that detailed with the siding? The dog door and window are a possibility as is the lower grade in the corner.
We certainly can’t see it from our house but my clients might have called me to take a look. They trust me and know I wouldn’t bs them. I’m just a carpenter but knowing the trade often gives someone like me an idea where the problem lies.
Gutter guard gutters needing cleaned? may have something to do with it. Vinyl siding could be the culprit as well. Done correctly they shed water pretty well.
How much rain and strength and from what direction?
Maybe go out in the yard and take a few larger pictures showing the entire side ground to top of roof.
Do you have a sump pump?
Has there been a problem before?
