   Put a large trash bag in the sono-tube and pour away. the concrete will displace the water

   I just experienced this same issue here in Oregon where it rains A LOT this time of year.

   Had 3 footings dug--that would fill with 10" of water in 10 minutes.

   My inspector said not to worry about it, just dump the concrete in and IT will displace the water! 

   I had the plastic bag idea the other poster mentioned--that ought to work great.

   I just pumped out the water and went for it--we had a little landscape pump made for ponds that worked great--and dumped in the concrete.

   Everything worked out ducky.

   we pour under water amost everyday, place the mix at a low slump about a three, for visual that would be a rocky mix with low fluid, stick to a shovel. dump the mix , the water will run to the top, either overflow the water or leave it to evaporate. dont play with the concrete and dont mix the water with the concrete. If you must vibrate , hit one time real quick and leave it.

   thank you for the reply however did you make the footers bigger than normal and including thicker?  I was also advised of putting and drain around the footer which will drain to crushed stone wrapped in filter fabric.  Thanks again for the input.

   You shouldn't need drain tile for sono tube piers.

   BB advice is the way to go unless your inspectors says no. If he wants them dry before you pour you can pump, bail or use a wet vac. to get the water out. Besure to dig out any mud or silt in the bottom.

   For 8 to 10 12" x 36" sono tubes, I would just suck ot the water with amy wet vac. It will get a lot of the mud too.
