I am considering replacing my water softner with a magnetic water softner. All it is, is a coil of wire wrapped around the incoming water supply pipe. It sends an magnetic field into the flow that causes the carbonate salts that would ordinarily form scale deposits to precipitate as small particles within the water instead.
Does anyone have experience with this type of water softner?
I am skeptical.
