I’ve got a Culligan water treatment system that I no longer have use for. It was used up until a month ago primarily to remove iron from the well water and was first installed in Spring of 2000.
It consists of 1) a 30 gal. holding tank into which you use a bleach/water solution. When the system senses demand, the bleach/water solution is pumped into a 2) sedimentation tank where the iron comes out of solution and settles to the bottom of the tank where it is flushed away once a day. From here the water goes into 3) a carbon column filter to remove the bleach from the water. This is on a timer so that it back washes every two or three days. From here it goes into a 4) regular water softener that uses salt pellets. This is to remove any trace amounts of iron that the sedimentation tank missed. That back washes once a week but all the timing cycles are of course adjustable.
All the valves, tanks, timer motors, and pumps are included. It’s a complete system and I’d like to sell it that way. Make me an offer and you can pick it up in Rhode Island.
