My waterlox floor finish over red oak is about 5 years old and scuffed and scratched in places. Mainly from luggage being dragged in the door we think. grandkids.
I redid the entrance hall and dining room by hand rubbing with 000 ss wool to get the scratches out. then put on more waterlox- looks good.
kitchen is too big to do it by hand- anyone used a buffer wheeel with ss wool or should I stick with by hand?

I haven't a clue as to how big an area you're talking about, but we did ours with a 110V. automotive buffer - - took a while and hard on the knees, but it came out OK. The auto buffers turn slower and are easier to control.
