My question is somewhat simple, but I have not found a simple answer. We have granite countertops that have a good polish but lack a slick “waxed†feel. I have tried several countertop polishes that provide a great look and feel, but don’t provide lasting effects. I noticed that within a day or two of applying the polish, cleanup is significantly easier.

The question is: can a good paste wax be used on granite to provide what I am looking for or, does someone have a better suggestion? Thanks!

I don't know about wax. Tec makes sealers especially for stone. http://www.tecspecialty.com
A polish is a very fine abrasive. You need a sealer to fill the pores. This will also help in preventing staining of granite.
You get out of life what you put into it......minus taxes.
