Hi, I used Welsh Mountain Slate on a project this past summer. Beautiful product, extremely hard to tell the difference between real slate. My concern is that they have gone under! This is the first time I have used them or this kind of product. Their 50 year warranty is not much good, if they aren’t around to honor it! Does anyone know the status of this company or where I can find out. They are based out of Canada, which I believe makes things a little tougher. The bottom line is, I returned some extra material to the company for a refund, back in September, and I have not received a refund check, and my calls to the company go to the answering machine and are not returned. And their website is gone as well. I don’t know what my next course of action is, if there is any….if anyone has any info on this, it would be greatly apperciated.
Thanks, kurt

kurt.. this often happens with new product... the start up company cannot penetrate the traditional market and eventually folds.. so much for 50 year warranty
same thing happens with any product we use in our building... be very wary of being the first one on your block to pioneer a new product... nothing like a company with a track record
i think you can kiss your refund goodbye

Ren Man,
Thanks for your info on the website, I'll try their local phone number, maybe it rings to a different line then their 800 number.
Yeah, it's too bad, they have a very nice product.
