Is a wet bed floor the only possible floor type that can go in a tilled shower stall? I am assuming so because there is no way to secure the cement board to the floor without putting holes the lead/vinyl pan. Please advise.
Thanks
Mike

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're planning to put the pan UNDER the cement board?
I guess I'd be inclined to do a preslope/vinyl/tilebed floor. It's really not all that difficult.

Some suggestions:
Go to the http://www.johnbridge.com site. Knowledgable professionals will help you with your questions.
Purchase John Bridge's book or Michael Byrne's book on the subject. Both very helpful."Objects in mirror appear closer than they are."

You can screed your floor and then stick the tiles on with cement based adhesive the next day. This will take the pressure off you.
why wait? sprinkle a little powdered thinset on it and go "squish".no turn left unstoned
