Hello!
Was hoping for thoughts on why even the highest point in the middle of the gable end are showing high moisture content? Nothing remarkable about location (eastern exposure, not on coast).
The Tyvek overlapped appropriately but not around corner, so water found its way along upper left corner board. Also, the chimney was also a source of entry on the right.
But am surprised at level of moisture throughout the whole area, especially in the upper middle parts. Can’t see any entry point from above.
The cedar siding was 30 years but maintained, tight, and was in good shape. Before I go about full repair was hoping for thoughts on if there’s anything I’m missing.
Thank you.
