ding ding ding and We have a Winner!yep, you da man.
Brother is county bee inspector and no contractors want to do more than just spray the bees and take the money
so he occasionally gets a call about removing bees from someplace and I get to be the 'demo and fix it back to the way it was' guy.
This one was the biggest in wall I'd ever seen and being a balloon frame the combs in the stud cavity to the left are going down below the second floor
so we have to wait and see what the owner says as the bid was just for the top.

It's a shame they don't wise up, take a little time and call a beekeeper.
You're old enough to remember seeing bees pretty commonplace.

Next door to my parents one evening I saw a swarm right next to the neighbours electrical stack.
Two years later he finally decided to do something about it. Called the local bee keeper and he was able to get the queen and have them swarm to a new nest.
Finally took out the comb and harvested about 6-10 lbs of honey.
