What is this garage wall material?

I’m curious about what my old garage walls are made out of. The house was built in 1920, but I’m not sure about the garage.

I was thinking about finishing the garage but the walls get damp, so I’m not sure it’s smart to close them in with insulation, drywall, etc. Has anyone had experience with walls like these?

    Looks like Durorock (sp). Is it installed between studs?

      I think so? The outside looks like it’s framed by 1x4s. So maybe it’s some old cement board from the 1960s?
